I planted an herb garden for the first time this spring (mostly all from cuttings!), and it’s totally changed the way I cook. Because, you see, it’s on the window ledge in the kitchen right by the stove (in this awesome pallet planter I got at the Urban Garden Center in Manhattan), so it’s perfect.

Now I’ll be making some tomato sauce and think, Hmm, why not add some fresh thyme? I
